Fancy-dress fun-runners took on the Proving Ground's 2mile Horizontal Straights in aid of Comic Relief...

Raising more than £700 for charity the 'MIRAthon' event held on St Patrick's day (17 March) played host to leprechauns, a dog, Fred Flintstone, the '80’s babes' and even Boris Johnson made an appearance.

Sports and Social Club event organiser Martin Brown said: "So far we have raised £640 (£750 including Gift Aid), if you‘ve not yet been able to donate, but would like to, the donation page is still available. 

"Every penny donated goes to some very worthwhile causes helping every area of our society. Thank you to everyone who has so far donated……..you’re great!"

The 2023 Red Nose Day took place on Friday 17 March and the MIRA team joined people across the nation to show that laughter has the power to change lives.
