11th September 2024 - KINGS AWARD CEREMONY & SUMMER SOCIAL
Celebrating The Kings Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development
His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenancy of Leicestershire attended an event held at HORIBA MIRA's Nuneaton site (11 Sept) to formally present the Kings Award for Enterprise to the business.
HORIBA MIRA team members gathered for the raising of the Kings Award flag, which will fly for a period of five years. After the reading of a message from HRH King Charles lll, followed by speeches, a plaque was unveiled and an award presented to Declan Allen, receiving it on behalf of the entire HORIBA MIRA team.
Mr Juichi Saito, HORIBA executive vice president and group COO attended the occasion, including the Summer Social event that evening.
HORIBA MIRA is one of only 29 companies to receive the Sustainable Development award.
“Every team member at HORIBA MIRA contributes to our sustainability journey – and our impact is profound. We’ve come a long way and achieved a great deal, but there is much more to do. Being recognised through the Kings Award inspires us all to take those next steps boldly, and towards a truly sustainable future.”
Declan Allen, managing director.
Summer Social event
MIRA team members were invited to attend a special Summer Social event to mark the occasion from 5-8pm that evening. Each team member received a commemorative pin badge as part to mark the occasion.
A Royal Theme for the Charity Raffle
The event raffle, in aid of HORIBA MIRA charities, was sourced directly from the Royal Collection, which itself supports the Royal Collection Trust charity.
